The inaugural IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE) will be held in San Jose, California, USA, September 20-24, 2009. This new conference combines the former IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference (PESC) with the technical sessions of the Industrial Power Conversion Systems Department (Electrical Machines Committee, Industrial Drives Committee, Industrial Power Converter Committee and the Power Electronics Devices and Components Committee) of the IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting.
Tutorial Topics of Interests:
“Tutorials are invited on topics falls in the scope of the ECCE. The scope of the congress include all technical aspects of the design, manufacture, application and marketing of devices, components, circuits and systems related to energy conversion, industrial power conversion and power electronics.”
All tutorials are of 3.5 hours duration planned to be held on Sunday, September 20, 2009. Deadline for Submission of Tutorial Proposals is February 15th, 2009. Notification that a tutorial proposal was accepted or declined will be emailed no later than March 15th, 2009. Members of the ECCE 2009 Conference and Program Committees review tutorial proposals. Tutorials are selected based on quality and consistent with the overall conference topics. This often means some high-quality tutorial proposals are declined.
Compensation for tutorial speakers includes an honorarium of $1500. In the case of multiple speakers for one tutorial, the honorarium must be shared among the speakers. All tutorial speakers must register and are responsible for their own expenses of preparing and presenting the tutorials, including all travel, lodging, and meals.
